Equipment Repair Technician

The primary role of the Equipment Repair Technician is to be responsible for repairs and maintenance of equipment up to and including shakers, tint machines, airless, conventional, HVLP, pneumatic sprayers.
The Equipment Repair Technician will provide technical and mechanical expertise, repair and maintenance and provide service to internal and external customers.
This position is responsible for the customer service, sales, profit, inventory and all administrative and operational functions of the shop at the branch level, and will ensure the shop operates within all corporate polices and procedures.
This individual should be available to work full-time, from **Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. **We are located at **1459 Chevrier Blvd., Winnipeg, MB**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**External Customer Service**
- Efficient repair and maintenance of customer equipment.
- Generate Sales Orders for all related repairs and maintenance.
- Provide customers with tech support regarding equipment and estimates as needed.
- Prioritize customer service and order-fulfilment, in adherence with company standards.
- Communicate repair status to customers regarding their equipment. (Ex: waiting on parts, almost complete, not started etc.)
**Sales and Profitability**
- Repair and maintain branch equipment in an orderly and efficient manner.
- Provide Branch Staff and Sales Reps with technical support regarding equipment and estimates as required.
- Adhere to unit, accessory, parts, equipment and repair pricing set in system and in alignment and cooperation with the Purchasing Department and Equipment Manager.
**Administration and Training**
- Communicate and negotiate inventory and orders in compliance with the branch objectives of the Branch Manager.
- Ensure all purchasing, receiving, and invoicing functions within the shop follow corporate practices and procedures.
- Manage shop inventory using min/max and replenishment in alignment with corporate objectives.
- Review and analyze branch financial statements and targets affected by the shop with the Branch Manager.
- Review and analyze Product ROI results for labor billed from the shop with the Branch Manager.
**Health and Safety**
- Work in compliance with all Work Safe and Cloverdale Paint certifications, training and policies including, but not limited to, WHMIS and TDG.
- Exhibit a safe working environment in which continuous improvements to safe work practices and branch conditions are encouraged.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- One-year certificate from college or technical school or one-year related experience required.
- Knowledge and safe mechanical operation and calibration of equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized and self-motivated.
- Certified in WHMIS, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, and safety requirements. Must complete all safety courses on the Cloverdale Paint Academy by three months of employment.
- Forklift certification, if required.
- Able to lift up to 50lbs consistently throughout the shift
