A little bit about uswe have been servicing Southwestern Ontario’s concrete cutting and coring needs for over 20 years. We tailor to the commercial, residential, and agriculture markets offering a wide range of services including Hydraulic & Electric wall sawing, Electric & Gas floor sawing, Curb Cutting (including removal), Core drilling up to 24”, Concrete Scanning, and Barn Grooving.

**Role Summary**:
**Duties during this Internship will Include**:

- Conduct Monthly Safety Talks on relevant topics
- Conduct monthly premise inspections, documentation reporting & following up on deficiencies or areas of concern
- Provide support to the team by maintaining a visible presence to the field; performing site visits once per month if possible, coordinating with the Foreman
- Assist in the coaching, mentoring and implementing of the Health and Safety programs within the office, shop, fleet and on job sites.
- Audit and maintain Health and Safety policies and training to support a safe work environment for all company employees, contractors, visitors and community.
- Monitor and ensure all required training is completed and/or retrained prior to expiry
- Participate, assist or lead in the investigation of workplace accidents and near miss incidents to determine root cause, and corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure new hires are orientated and trained on all Health and Safety requirements and hazards within their role, including WHMIS training.
- Ensure WHMIS compliance
- Compile, monitor, and manage information and claims with WSIB & manage Return to Work program including developing return to work plans with injured employee, and conduct continuous monitoring of employee and plan
- Monitor CVOR, maintain and submit CVOR annual requirements
- Ensure that the following material is available and on site, Health and Safety policy, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, safety inspection forms, logbooks, workplace accident near miss forms, etc.
- Continued development of COR certification program elements and maintain all elements ongoing
- Manage the development of policies for both HR (in conjunction with the Human Resources Consultant) & H&S, numbering, style, written information
- Other duties as required.

**Qualifications**
- Occupational Health and Safety Degree, Diploma or Certificate required.
- Health & Safety knowledge/experience in the Construction field would be an asset

**Job Types**: Part-time, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 12 - 24 months
Part-time hours: 20 - 24 per week

**Salary**: $20.20-$26.45 per hour
