**Stó:lō Service Agency **requires the services of a qualified **Full-Time Intensive Support and Resource Worker ** to fill a vacancy with the **Mémiyelhtel Program.**

The **ISRW** will: provide one-to-one support to Aboriginal youth who are facing challenges at school, who have involvement in the courts, or are at risk of such challenges; assess social, socio-economic, emotional, academic, family related and historical factors that may be having an impact on individual youth and will support them in the building of their individual capacity to access resources and to make positive connections in the community; assist youth in developing healthy functioning in education, work, family and community settings; prevent youth involvement in the courts, and where youth are already involved in the justice system, assist them in the compliance with court orders; deliver culturally relevant services within an Aboriginal context; and respect Aboriginal traditions, values and practice.

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- **Must have** experience working with Aboriginal youth and families, and working knowledge of Aboriginal culture and history.
- Post-secondary education in related human/social services field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- **Must have (2) two years** related experience with at/high-risk youth, including those with youth justice involvement.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Current First Aid Certification including CPR & AED (Automated External Defibrillator).
- Knowledge and experience of Youth Criminal Justice Act and youth corrections.
- Knowledge of community and available resources and supports.
- Ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships with youth, families and community resources.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with mínimal supervision.
- Strong record and report writing practices.
- Strong time management, coordination and ability to adapt.
- Basic computer and internet skills.
- Integrity and humility with a strong desire to represent the agency in a healthy and respectful manner.
- Ability to follow applicable policy, procedures, codes of ethics and mission statements.
- Ability to accept individual uniqueness and respect diversity: ancestry, race, ethnicity, language, religions, marital status, gender, sexual orientation, age, abilities, and social-economic status.
- SSA has implemented a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy, requiring all staff to be fully vaccinated.

- Must hold and maintain a valid Class 5 BC Drivers’ License
- Must successfully pass the required pre-employment RCMP Criminal records Check

Pay: From $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
