As a Metering Co-op, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute as part of our team, work alongside and learn from experienced and talented professionals.

Reporting to the Manager of Metering, you will work within a department that is responsible for the installation, removal, repair, inspection, testing and calibration of meters and metering equipment.

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Working with Meter Technicians as a helper/2nd person
- Assisting with weekly meter downloads
- Organizing meter shop; scrapping meters
- Monitoring and updating metering inventory
- Uploading new material (CTs/PTs, Meters) into Customer Information System (CIS)
- Packaging, shipping, delivering, picking up meters and processing all related paperwork
- Generating and printing metering service orders
- Processing and filing meter inspection certificates and updating CIS with current seal information Entering Record of Installation information into CIS

**What we are looking for**:

- Enrolled and have good standing in a 3-year College level Technologist program
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including reading comprehension and mathematical skills
- Knowledge of relevant computer skills (MS Office)
- Knowledge of electrical distribution systems
- Excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills A good work ethic with a positive approach to work and coworkers; energetic, motivated with an excellent attendance record

**What you will need to be successful**:

- Keen interest in Electrical discipline, including underground distribution system
- Valid G driver's license
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, analytical and trouble shooting skills
- First aid training and certification is an asset Electrical Safety awareness training is an asset
