Description du poste
**Layout artists are responsible for establishing a strong base for all shots involving CG by creating the basic composition of a shot or sequence. They will pick and block assets used in a scene, align camera positions or create fully computer-generated cameras. The work layout artists to position the characters in the frames of the scenes gives the animators a starting point from which to work.**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**As a FOLKS artist**
- Pursues the highest quality and pushes to create the most engaging images
- Works successfully as part of a team, seeks collaboration opportunities
- Organizes, prioritizes, and communicates to meet production needs
- Takes part in creative discussions and actively participates in dailies
- Addresses notes and keeps the end goal in mind while iterating on the work
- Stays flexible and adaptable with the ability to work within a set workflow as well as having the creativity and problem-solving skills to work around issues

**As a Layout Artist**
- Work closely with creative supervisors (and occasionally with the client as well) to develop the visual language of a shot or sequence, including refine the composition, camera angles, and storytelling of the shot or sequence
- Create and refine the basic layout of a shot or sequence by establishing what assets are used and by blocking them in the scene
- Ensure that the layout is technically accurate and meets the requirements of the pipeline, including dealing with plate reprojection

**Qualifications**:
**Requirements**:

- 2 years' experience in layout or similar departments
- Strong understanding of composition, camera angles, and storytelling techniques, as well as excellent technical skills.
- Experience with Maya
- Experience with Nuke

**Desirable**
- Experience with USD / interest for USD
