As a Sign Fabricator at Porto Displays, you will play a crucial role in our production team, responsible for crafting visually stunning and durable signage solutions. You will work closely with designers, project managers, and other fabrication team members to bring our clients' visions to life. Your attention to detail, craftsmanship, and technical skills will contribute to the success of each project and the overall reputation of Porto Displays.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Sign Fabrication**: Utilize various tools, equipment, and materials to fabricate signage according to design specifications and client requirements. This may include cutting, bending, welding, and assembling metal, plastic, acrylic, and other materials.
- **Material Handling**: Properly handle and manage raw materials, ensuring efficient use and mínimal waste. Organize inventory and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- **Quality Assurance**: Conduct thorough quality checks throughout the fabrication process to ensure that finished products meet Porto Displays' high standards of quality and durability.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with designers and project managers to review design plans, provide input on feasibility and fabrication methods, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during production.
- **Problem Solving**: Demonstrate creativity and resourcefulness in finding solutions to fabrication challenges, adapting techniques as needed to achieve desired results.
- **Safety Compliance**: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- **Time Management**: Efficiently manage workload and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in sign fabrication, metalworking, carpentry, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in using fabrication tools and equipment such as saws, drills, routers, welders, and CNC machines.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and design specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and protocols in a workshop or manufacturing environment.
**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
