**Job Summary**:
The Shift Lead, Warehouse will oversee material handling operations and assist with the daily workflow of the warehouse team. This role ensures the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of materials and goods while maintaining safety and quality standards. The Shift Lead, Warehouse works closely with the Warehouse Supervisor to manage resources and personnel, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely and accurate completion of all tasks.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Leadership & Supervision**:

- Lead, train, and support a team of material handlers to achieve daily operational goals.
- Assign tasks, monitor workflow, and ensure that safety and quality procedures are followed.
- Provide on-the-job training for new employees and oversee adherence to protocols.
- **Material Handling**:

- Coordinate the receiving, sorting, and storage of incoming materials.
- Oversee order picking, packing, staging, and loading of materials for shipment.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, reach, counterbalance and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- **Inventory & Documentation**:

- Ensure accurate inventory tracking and documentation of material movements.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in managing stock levels.
- Identify and address discrepancies in inventory and report issues to management.
- **Process Improvement**:

- Identify opportunities to streamline warehouse processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Work with the warehouse supervisor to implement and maintain 5S and lean principles.
- Promote a clean and organized workspace and assist in equipment maintenance.
- **Safety & Compliance**:

- Enforce safety protocols and warehouse policies to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Conduct safety briefings and participate in safety audits.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, company, and other regulatory guidelines.

**Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education or certifications in logistics/warehouse management is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in a warehouse or material handling role, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory position.
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts, double-deep reach, counterbalance, rider walkies and other powered warehouse equipment.

**Skills**
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for warehouse operations.

**Working Conditions**:

- Primarily in a warehouse environment, with frequent lifting, moving, and handling of materials.
- Standing, walking, and operating equipment for extended periods.

Pay: $24.00-$25.00 per hour
