**The Role**

The Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) is looking to add a **Portfolio Business Systems Analysis **to our Application Delivery team.

As a Portfolio Business Systems Analyst, you are a results-oriented team player who is passionate about building software products that deliver value to customers. You will provide leadership and supervision to IT Business Systems Analysts responsible for analyzing and planning product system changes, integrations, and implementations. You and your team will work closely with Product Owners, Developers (internal and external), QA Leads and Business Leaders to execute software development projects and enhancements in both a waterfall and agile environment.

In this role, you will lead a team of Business System Analysts, ensuring best practices and evolving the role within the organization, consulting on IT and Digital evolution strategies

We’re looking for someone who can
- Work in partnership with preferred vendors to understand product roadmaps and recommend new solutions and ideas to enhance business model.
- At project inception and initiation, analyze and conceptualize design of the solution, working with the Solution Architects, Vendors, Software Developers and Quality Assurance Analysts to provide high level solution estimates.
- Visualize information and data to create compelling and effective executive-level presentations and decks
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to drive collaboration and consensus-building among stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in automation and business analysis.
- Provide big-picture and tactical guidance on how technology enables a wide range of business outcomes.
- Possess or rapidly acquire business and technical acumen to successfully represent the business and technology domains in solution brainstorming & design sessions.
- Work in continuous delivery mode, analyzing and delivering features iteratively.
- Provide guidance and People leadership to Business Systems Analysts who are responsible for functional and nonfunctional solicitation & requirements management process.
- Lead changes to process and procedural improvements related to functional requirements, system design specifications, workflow designs, configuration documentation, data mapping, and other documentation as required.
- Follow and coach your team on established IT practices, standards, regulatory and or security controls and processes.
- Evaluate current business problems and provides advice on the applicability and usability of alternative technology products or solutions.
- Proactively seeks out and recommends process, automation, and system opportunities to reduce manual effort/time and decrease implementation time

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience working as a Solution Analyst, IT Analyst, or Business Systems Analyst capacity in the IT industry.
- 3+ years of experience leading a team, working with business users, and third-party vendors
- Demonstrated experience in a People Leader role, coaching and mentoring team members in a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience documenting the following: system specifications, gap analysis, functional and non-functional requirements, workflow diagram, data mapping spreadsheets.
- BSc in Business Admin and/or degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated experience working in agile practices, scrum or continuous delivery or continuous integration delivery.
- Ability to work in a virtual team environment, facilitating and contributing to work across geographies and across other functional teams
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing projects and priorities under time pressure without compromising quality.
- Understanding of ETL (data transformation) processes, tools and practices, including mapping specifications
- Advanced knowledge of SQL, XML, functional specifications, process mapping tool (e.g. Visio), JIRA and Confluence.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
- A natural ability to understand and connect with people, build trust and rapport in your relationships, resolve conflicts, and work collaboratively towards common goals.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in digital transformation, automation, business architecture and analysis.
