**Summary of the Role**

When you work in legal at KDP, you are diving deep into the inner operations of the 3rd largest beverage company in Canada. You are learning how one of Canada’s top 100 employers, 6th year running, is developing how to support a fast-past and ever-evolving business, empowering our employees to push beyond conventional barriers, and leading the path as a modern beverage company. We need your help to deliver a beverage for EVERYONE for every OCCASION. In the Legal Internship, you will 1. research federal and provincial alcohol regulations and create a tool to help the team effectively support the business, 2. assist in supporting the business’ various
_ad hoc_ requests and 3. map different processes and optimize upon them.

**Responsibilities**
- Working alongside the innovation and marketing teams, identify recurring issues and assist with answering the varied questions from the business with regards to selling and marketing alcoholic beverages (and non-alcoholic beverages such as _mocktails_);
- Assist with research and analysis of legal sources such as statutes, regulations, legal articles and legal codes;
- Prepare a summary of the different alcohol regulations per province;
- Opportunity to be exposed to the department’s standard contract templates and assist with certain aspects of the review and updating of such templates;
- Exposure to corporate work and marketing review;
- Participate in internal meetings and internal and external conferences to better understand company objectives and initiatives;
- Ad hoc projects depending on the needs of the business at the time;
