**Job Title: HR Generalist (Maternity Leave Coverage )**

**Reports To: HR Manager**

**Location: Tillsonburg & Ingersoll**

**Contract Duration**:This is a fixed-term contract role covering the maternity leave of the HR Generalist, with an expected duration of 16 to 18 months.

Hours for this position 8am-4:30 pm

Join Tillsonburg Custom Foods as a Human Resources Generalist

TCF is immediately looking for HR Generalist, on a contract basis, will provide comprehensive HR support, ensuring the smooth operation of human resources functions while covering the maternity leave of the HR Generalist. The role encompasses various aspects of HR, including recruitment, employee relations, Onboarding, Health & Safety and HR administration.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Recruitment and Onboarding**:

- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
- Conduct interviews and reference checks.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees.

**Employee Relations**:

- Address employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and resolution.
- Assist in the implementation of employee engagement initiatives.
- Contribute to a positive workplace culture and foster employee well-being.

**HR Compliance**:

- Stay up-to-date with labor laws and regulations.
- Ensure HR policies and practices are compliant with legal requirements.
- Assist in the management of HR records and data for reporting purposes.

**Performance Management**:

- Support the performance management process, including goal setting, evaluations, and feedback.
- Work with managers to address performance issues and provide guidance on improvement plans.

**HR Administration**:

- Maintain HR files and records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Prepare HR-related reports and documents for HR Manager.
- Assist with HR projects and initiatives as needed.

**Health & Safety and WSIB Responsibilities**:

- Assist HR Manager in Health & Safety with for both Tillsonburg & Ingersoll Plant.
- Be an active member of H&S meetings
- Provide training and guidance on safety protocols to employees.
- Report and investigate workplace incidents and accidents, and submit WSIB claims as needed.
- Collaborate with management to identify and mitigate safety risks and hazards.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist role.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in ERP and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel to Tillsonburg Custom Foods’ other locations
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
