**What would I be doing at ThinkLP?**

This is an opportunity for a motivated technical individual to contribute to the growth of an innovative software company and create software solutions for some of the world’s largest and most influential organizations on the Fortune 500 list As a Big Data Analyst, you will provide the insights to work with and analyze data across numerous domains, structures, and formats. In addition, this role is responsible for developing Big Data Optimization scripts and queries using technologies such as PostgreSQL.

**What are my **primary **duties?**

As a small and rapidly growing organization, your primary objective is to understand and model client data within the ThinkLP product. Core responsibilities will include:

- Reverse engineering and analyzing data to be converted into ThinkLP’s data models
- Working with established processes to import the transformed data into the product
- Contribute towards continually improving the data models developed by ThinkLP, as well as the processes used to import data into these models and the platform
- Supporting client understanding of data by creating visualizations within the platform
- Building platform data flows to manipulate and merge new and existing data
- Writing optimized SQL queries to get the best performance out of data transformation and loading processes.
- Contributing towards the development of ThinkLP’s library of data insights and prescriptions
- Investigating new ways to analyze data that may involve the use of AI (Artificial Intelligence) and Machine Learning technologies
- Working within the Salesforce Tableau CRM platform

**What are the requirements for this position?**
- Bachelor of Computer Science, Applied Science, Engineering or equivalent educational achievements or work experience
- Highly motivated and independent with an ability to help drive growth in a startup software organization
- Intermediate to advanced experience with SQL queries and Relational Databases
- A passion for analyzing and making discoveries from data
- Understanding different file/data formats (E.g., CSV, JSON, XML, Fixed/Positional, etc.)
- Confident and knowledgeable in the software development lifecycle, including system integrations and IT architectures and modelling
- Ability to understand and/or compose technical documents (E.g., Entity Relationship Diagrams, flowcharts, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
- Must be located within the Waterloo / Wellington Region (**This is not a remote position**)

**Additional **“**Nice to Haves**”
- Experience working with large datasets (millions of rows)
- Familiarity with Salesforce Einstein is an asset
- Working experience with the Salesforce platform
- Working experience with data tools, ETL (Extract Transform Load), or platforms (E.g., Google Big Query, Snowflake, SSIS, Hadoop, etc.)
- Exposure working within the retail industry (In store or Ecomm)
- Scripting experience with languages such as Python or Ruby
- Familiarity working within a command line interface

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
