**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Assistant Buyer. As an Assistant Buyer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our purchasing department and ensuring the timely and efficient procurement of goods and services. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about analyzing reports and has a strong desire to learn and grow within a dynamic organization.

**Duties**
- Provides purchasing planning and replenishment control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Forecasting & demand planning (MRP) through SAP ERP software.
- Analyze inventory stock with lead buyer.
- Analyze back order reports and liaise with sales department to replenish inventory stock.
- Creates RFQs and sends to vendors, verifying materials and scheduling delivery in collaboration with lead buyer.
- Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price, obtaining recommendation and approval.
- Monitors and expedites orders, follows up with vendors on back orders.
- Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered, physically with assistance from warehouse personnel.
- Resolves shipment errors with vendors in collaboration with lead buyer.

- Ability to work with a high level of energy, initiative, and enthusiasm for improving processes and systems.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on procurement analysis, reporting and monitoring.

**Requirements**:

- College or University degree in business, purchasing/supply chain procurement, or equivalent
- Experience in procurement for at least 2 years
- MSOffice Suite
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

**Salary**: From $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
