**The Opportunity**

We have created this Chief of Staff role for our expanding V.P team in Edmonton, AB. This opportunity will be a full-time permanent position. You will work with a growing organization where you will gain valuable experience in the field of social services.

Based in Edmonton and reporting directly to the Vice President of Corporate Services as well as the Vice President of Strategy and Operations, the Chief of Staff will have a passion for helping children, strive to use cutting edge technology, and be well-organized to maintain the schedules of our VPs. The Chief of Staff will help link the leadership team and the broader organization by maintaining clear communications and reflecting the vision of the company.

**Who You Are**

You are a multi-talented professional with at least five (5) years of experience in providing direct support to management or executive roles. Support may include things such as providing employee feedback, conducting root cause analysis for complex problems, contracts management experience, and project management. You have bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.

You are a team player who can collaborate with multiple stakeholders. You can communicate concisely and clearly, have a clear understanding of how to use technology, and have a vision for helping children and youth. You are also a critical thinker who is willing to tackle difficult problems and take the lead in upcoming projects for a growing company.

Some additional key responsibilities include:

- Communication: Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely. Ensure that communication flows smoothly between senior staff, VPs, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Strategic Thinking: Collaborate with the executive team to align projects and initiatives with the company’s strategic objectives. identify areas where the organization can improve and develop and implement plans to address these gaps.
- Adaptability: Be adaptable and able to pivot quickly in response to changing priorities and business needs.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with different software and tools for multi-team collaboration, organization wide communication, project management, and business analysis.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with senior leadership and other teams to ensure the smooth execution of upcoming projects and initiatives. Mentor and guide members of the agency, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.
- Passion for Child and Youth Care: A genuine commitment to CarePros core values and a passion for improving the lives of children and youth.

The day-to-day responsibilities of our Chief of Staff may include:

- Attending senior leadership meetings and helping plan the future goals of the organization.
- Maintaining and managing the calendars of our Vice Presidents including organizing and coordinating meetings and events.
- Being the key point-of-contact for internal and external stakeholders that are crucial to our organization.
- Managing new projects as they come in and ensuring that they are completed on time.
- Communicating goals of senior leadership to the proper channels across our growing company.
- Overseeing resource allocation, ensuring the Senior Leadership Team has the support needed.
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures that enhance organizational effectiveness.
