**Leader Name**:Senior Leader, Portfolio Support

**As ATB’s next Portfolio Analyst I**, the primary focus is to provide support to Portfolio Analyst II teams on a daily basis. The supporting tasks include helping with completing loan transactions, providing additional vacation coverage, performing certain operational related tasks, preparing Letters of Credit and Insurance renewals, margining, and managing Syndication's queue and SharePoint maintenance. Essentially the Portfolio Analyst I is a training role to the Portfolio Analyst II without supporting a portfolio.

**Portfolio Analyst I Accountabilities**:

- Support PA II, manages multiple lender portfolios of borrowers, a portfolio size range between 80-90 borrowers.
- The PA I helps to support loan transactions, including new loans, facility/loan maintenance, fees, etc.
- Collect, maintain, and monitor reporting requirements.
- Managing a diary system for follow-ups on missing or expiring documentation of annual insurance policies, Letter of Credit, registration expiries, margining, AFC expiries, financial statements, etc.
- Maintain a good understanding of multiple Credit Documents and different types of transaction requests/notices in order to manage the queue for the Syndications Operation team.
- Provides additional back up support to the Syndications and Bi-Lateral Portfolio Analyst II teams as required to manage CFS portfolios of borrowers. This role provides support for a loan portfolio in excess of $21 billion dollars, which contains significant financial, legal, regulatory, operational and reputational risk.
- Up to date knowledge of all ATB’s products and their features, including deposits, loans, investments, Mastercard and cash management products in order to input the information received on clients into SAP, CRM and Sharepoint.
- Acts as a liaison with our internal business partners preparing, submitting and follow-up of all job requests in accordance with information provided by the Director / Associate Director teams in addition to accordance with the approved Application for Credit.
- Understands and manages security registrations, including registering, maintaining and discharging security as applicable.
- Responsible for loan origination in SAP for new loans in a portfolio. The Portfolio Analyst I enters loan details (interest rate, term, limits, facility linkage, etc.) into Account Origination (BCLE project) on the day of funding.
- Ensures all loan maintenance (fees, maturity dates, limits, pricing, loan terminations, etc.) is completed in a timely and accurate manner, including entry into our diary system (SharePoint / Outlook) and SAP. This involves a strong understanding of the SAP banking system, as well as loan agreements and credit approvals.
- Interprets and understands the contents of the Application for Credit to ensure proper customer information/ loan/facility entry into SAP, along with the proper creation of excel control spreadsheets to help quickly respond to borrower inquiries during the duration of the relationship.
- Maintenance of security file in a team shared drive: Works in tandem the with relationship team to maintain security files, ensuring that original credit documents are properly filed and archived. This includes the original Credit Agreement / Commitment Letters, Letter of Credit documentation, security and registrations and other legal documents.
- Helps to provide operational support for clients including requesting document creation, renewals of AFC and loans, expired loans, initiating and following up on arrears, Letters of Credit, Guarantee Notes, LIBOR Loans, security maintenance including amendments and discharges, monitoring of security expires, and pre-funding reviews and approvals, including completing all relevant checklists.
- Understands the complex loan facility structures and system requirements that come with our borrowers, and how to administer them in SAP.
