Agricultural or Heavy Equipment Technician

Responsibilities:

- Perform maintenance and repairs on agricultural equipment, including tractors, combines, and harvesters
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns
- Use power tools and hand tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment components
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to guide repair processes
- Collaborate with other technicians and team members to ensure efficient workflow
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labor hours

Qualifications:

- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and their components
- Experience maintaining and repairing industrial or heavy equipment
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as cranes or forklifts is a plus
- Familiarity with power tools and their safe usage
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems in relation to equipment operation
- Knowledge of automotive repair principles is beneficial
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License
- Full Tool Set

**Salary**: $35.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

**Experience**:

- mechanical: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (required)
- Journeyman Certificate (preferred)
- Trade Certificate (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Red Deer County, AB T4S 0B8 (required)

Ability to Relocate:

- Red Deer County, AB T4S 0B8: Relocate before starting work (required)
