**Position Summary: Service Technician**

The Wastewater Division of Sulzer Pumps (Canada) Inc. has a full-time permanent opportunity at their Mississauga, Ontario office. Reporting to the Service Manager, the Service Technician will have direct accountability on service activities for Sulzer products including submersible pumps & mixers and related controls and accessories within the municipal & industrial water market segments.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Handle incoming technical support questions
- Test, diagnose, repair and service pumps, mixers and rotating equipment
- Conduct field service visits, equipment start-up and commissioning (mechanical/electrical assistance)
- Develop and execute on-site testing and start-up plans
- Help manage & support authorized service centers
- Conduct maintenance training seminars

- Demonstrated technical product experience
- Well developed sense of urgency to deliver results
- Strong sense of teamwork and business goal alignment
- Electrical knowledge of electrical control panels and PLC's
- Demonstrated success through focus, good judgment and decision-making
- Must possess superior presentation and communication skills (both written and oral)
- Travel is a component of the role with occasional travel opportunities outside of the local GTA service area.

**Qualifications/ Experience**
- Technical degree or equivalent in work experience
- 5+ years of related product experience (pumps, mixers, motors, control panels)
- Computer competency (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Familiarity with the Water / Wastewater process an added plus
- Experience with crane truck, gantry and jib crane operation
- Millwright or Electrician License an asset
