**Stefanini is looking for a Food Scientist I in Gladstone, Toronto CAD**

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct research and development activities to create new food products or improve existing ones
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new product concepts
- Conduct trials in bakeries to test and optimize product formulations
- Analyze and interpret data from trials to make informed decisions
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in food science
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards
- Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients
- Provide technical support to production teams during product scale-up
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any product-related issues
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in the food industry, preferably in biscuit snacking
- Strong knowledge of ingredient functionality and commercialization
- Ability to travel 25-40% of the time within the USA, Canada, and Mexico
- Willingness to spend 1 to 2 weeks per month on trials in bakeries
- Must have anti-slip and steel-toed shoes for safety purposes

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract

**Salary**: $40.00-$44.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON M6J 3L9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
