**CNC Machinist Apprentice**

3 - 4-year apprentice preferred

**Responsibilities**:

- Assessing the workspace and work required to ensure the work is performed in a safe manner
- Perform machine set-ups. Learns to operate multiple machines conventional and CNC, in accordance with work orders, drawings, templates or layouts.
- Verify dimensions of machined tools and parts using precision measuring instruments.
- Meets or exceeds the production standards for volume and quality of work
- Maintain a clean and manageable work environment
- Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations, Quality procedures and work instructions

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- 3rd or 4th year Apprentice
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Ability to work to close tolerances in a variety of materials
- Must be able to competently operate manual lathes, milling machines and surface grinders.
- Experience with running and setup of CNC milling machines and experience with Mastercam is an asset
- Able to work in team and to handle priorities under pressure
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills

**Working Conditions**:

- Ability to handle weight up to 50 lbs (23kg)

**Salary**: $48,000.00-$56,000.00 per year
