**Position Description**

We're seeking a Programming/IT Summer Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic educational environment. As an intern, you'll have the opportunity to work with a variety of technologies, including PHP, HTML, JavaScript/jQuery, CSS, and MySQL, while contributing to the enhancement of our Moodle learning management system.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Test custom Moodle plugins to identify bugs and optimize code.
- Investigate different options for integrating AI into Moodle and contribute to the creation of new plugins with AI functionality.
- User PowerBI to generate reports from Excel
- Review and update Moodle course content when required
- Review and update documentation

**Qualifications and Skill Requirements**
- Experience in web development including PHP, HTML, javascript/jQuery and CSS
- Ability to write clean, efficient and well-documented code
- Experience (or willingness to learn) in integrated plug-ins and writing new plug-ins to extend the Moodle system core features
- Experience in data management and query building using MySQL
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence tools and integration
- Experience with Jira project management service
- Language: Good command of English is required
- Ability to work independently and learn new skills independently
- Knowledge of PowerBI and O365

**Work Hours**:

- 35 hours/week
- 8 weeks, with options to extend the contract
