This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The HFA Program Manager provides operational leadership to their assigned program area across all HFA Centres and direct supervision of the HFA Supervisors in their program area. The Program Manager executes an annual program priority plan and collaborates with the General Managers to coach, develop and support their assigned Supervisors. They are responsible for risk management, consistent program/service quality, growth/innovation and ensuring program/service delivery is aligned with our Family UVP and supports membership growth. The Program Manager demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills, working closely with HFA General Managers, Supervisors, frontline staff and other Program Managers in accordance with all YMCA policies and procedures, health and safety standards, child protection standards and regulatory requirements.

- Communicates annual priorities to Supervisors, builds annual workplan to ensure timely execution of priorities.
- Lead and coach Supervisors in implementation and execution of annual priorities.
- Working with General Manager of Program Excellence and Branch General Managers to establish annual budgets plans.
- Work with Supervisors to ensure adherence to and management of annual budget plans.

**Supervise, coach, train and develop staff and volunteers.**
- Provide direct supervision, coaching and support to assigned Supervisors to ensure their success and development.
- Maintain communication with General Managers and collaborate as necessary with ongoing coaching of centre Supervisors.
- Support the Supervisor with the creation of high functioning staff/volunteer teams that are engaged, motivated, well trained and working effectively together.
- Lead the recruitment of new Supervisors and support Supervisors with recruitment and onboarding of staff as required.
- In the absence of a supervsior, take on an acting role.

- Works with the Supervisors to ensure all YMCA service standards are consistently met and leads ongoing continuous improvement efforts
- Working with the General Manger to address facility or equipment maintenance issues and to execute annual equipment replacement and or program area refurbishment plans
- Works with Supervisors monitoring data and metrics (attendance, wait lists) to ensure capacity, convenience issues are addressed
- Works with Supervisors to ensure systems, administration activities leverage YMCA technology and are consistently applied and evolve to support member convenience

- Supports Supervisor with Branch negotiations related to the best use of space where multiple stakeholders are involved
- Ensures programs and services evolve with YMCA Canada updates, established trends, member or community demand or common best practices
