We’re looking for Web Implementation Specialist to join our scaling organization and help us manage development agencies that encompass the user experience, solution ideation, sprint prioritization, stakeholder management, and testing from staging to live production.
At Pacific Smoke International, our mission is to help people quit smoking by providing safer alternatives to traditional cigarettes. As the leading distributor of electronic vaporizers and award-winning vaping products in Canada, we've made significant progress since our founding in 2013. However, we have much more to accomplish for our customers, and we're looking for a culturally aligned Web Implementation Specialist to join our dynamic team located in Markham.

In this role, you’ll offer solutions by testing and studying insights. You will work closely with our Marketing and Sales Operations Team to implement marketing functions.
**The Web Implementation Specialist will**:
- Propose web development solutions that are achievable within timelines and budget. This includes front end mock-ups using Figma as well as back-end solutions to efficiently map data values within and outside the website(s).
- Propose pivotal changes and offer solutions when critical pitfalls are discovered through user testing and studying insights. Achieving this will involve out-the-box thinking and internal business knowledge to reach a middle-ground solution between developers and stakeholders.
- Implement agile processes to ensure the development process is continuously improving at every stage (pre and post-launch) between development teams and stakeholders.
- Set User Acceptance requirements for agencies and the Web Team to validate to ensure the smooth launch of new functions.
- Manage agencies to implement marketing functions such as promotions, subscriptions, rebates, credits, segmentation (i.e. defaults accounts, VIP’s, key accounts, franchises, and exception cases), pricing matrices, compound discounts, cart rules, and payment methods.- Provide optimal performance solutions between our website(s) and Operations. Examples are synchronization between ERP systems (i.e. customer information and history), inventory control, order processing, and payment methods.- Run regular website speed tests to ensure the front-end and CMS back-end runs smoothly. Perform clean-ups on our databases, cloud services, and cache.
- Training the Web Team with best-uploading practices whereby catalogs, products, customer segmentation, and promotional rules are configured efficiently to avoid website lag.
- Responsible to keep all websites secure by ensuring security and database backups are up-to-date. Creating and updating disaster recovery procedures are essential.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting support to website errors by solving them independently or managing the respective development agency to solve the issue by providing customer screen captures and reproducing the error. Meticulous documentation of errors along with its frequency and how it was solved is required.
- Accountable for creating new B2B and DTC websites by managing the creative ideation, user journey, development, testing, operational ERP connectivity, and live launch.
- Source and screen new external development agencies, app extensions and platforms that works best with our agile needs, budget, and timelines.
- Support the Web Team to update products, launches, promotional programs, customers, informational pages and all other maintenance requests through our central management systems (i.e. Magento, Shopify). This includes the assistance of reviewing, proofreading, seeking content approval from managers and providing design specification/layout guidance to graphic designers.
- Accountable for updating Standard Operation Procedure documents with the most up-to-date steps to updating our CMS platforms and training the web team to follow these steps.
- Supervise and train external agencies and internal team members to efficiently update all our websites according to our standard operating procedures.
- Provide prompt progress updates and complete all other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Manager / Team Lead (i.e., employee photos).
**To be successful you should have**:
- University Degree or College Diploma in E-commerce/Web Programming.
- University Degree or College Diploma in User Experience.
- At least 1 year experience in updating web content.
- At least 2 years experience implementing web functions.
- Proficient in HTML and CSS
- Experience using Figma
