Repair Technician/customer Service

**Summary/Objective**
- Serving customers by diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing devices while ensuring customer satisfaction. Soldering and console experience is a plus, but not required.
**Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Speak with customers regarding diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing devices
- Disassembling electronics to repair or replace loose, worn, or defective components, wiring or broken glass using hand tools
- Provide recommendations for problem resolution
- Explain complex technical issues to customers in a non-technical, simple to understand manner
- Provide repair and replacement estimates to customers
- Organize same-day pick-up inventory, including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and handing off packages to delivery drivers in an accurate, efficient manner
- Self-manage and set priorities while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
- Ensure that all repairs meet or exceed uBreakiFix quality standards
- Bending, sitting, lifting, and standing based on the need of the business, up to 75 lbs. Standing and/or sitting for extended and long periods of time, up to 100% of shift or over time
- Greet customers in a friendly manner and maintain a positive work environment
- Answer phone calls to the store with a professional, courteous and friendly demeanor
- Ensure that customers have an enjoyable experience by providing superior customer service and exceeding customer expectations
- Keep track of all devices and inventory while safeguarding all store stock
- Stocking merchandise and setting up advertising/promotional displays
- Utilize the point of sale system to maintain an accurate record of customer information and a real-time status of each repair
- Maintain the cleanliness and professional appearance of the store

**Basic Qualifications/Education**
- Ability to perform repairs on smartphones, electronics, PC/MACs, and game consoles
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Excellent technical, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Works well in team environment
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Specific vision abilities that may be required by this job including close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Vocal communications are required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and/or to communicate with customers and/or clients.
- Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels
- Exposure to dust, noise, chemicals, and such matters as demands for overtime or shift work. Exposure to various materials including cardboard, various metals, and plastics. Exposure to moving equipment and objects in the immediate work area such as automated machinery. Exposure to tools or materials, including batteries, which may involve the risk of injury.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- A+ Certification
- Wise Certification*
- Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT)
- Technical degree or certification in Electronics or Consumer Electronics
- Previous experience working at retail electronics store
*Wise certification will be provided by UBREAKIFIX once hired, but is preferred prior to employment.

**Experience**
- Cell phone/electronic repair: 1 year (prefered)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Sales: 1 year (preferred) but can train the appropriate person

**Salary**: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Every Weekend
- Monday to Friday
