**Job Summary**:
The purpose of this position is to ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are followed during Production activities for cannabis related products/projects. He/she works to ensure the Production Department operates safely within established standard operating procedures to manufacture product that is compliant to ARA - Avanti Rx Analytics and client specifications, required timelines, while in accordance with all government regulations

**The duties of the Production Supervisor may involve, but not limited to the following**:

- Ensure proper personnel, material, and product flow throughout the production area.
- Train and/or ensure that all staff has received and documented training prior to performing duties.
- Lead by example and responsible for work standards of the team inside the suites.
- Schedule and organize staff to the appropriate areas and ensure his/her team performs duties to meet production targets and expectations.
- Ensures safety regulations are met in all areas of responsibility and that staff performs the assigned work in a safe manner.
- Ensure supplies are stocked and order as necessary.
- Arrange cleaning of production area as per established procedure.
- Perform assembly, disassembly, and cleaning of production equipment.
- Perform and lead production activities.
- Perform and document all duties according to SOPs, MBRs, GMP regulations and all other established safety standards and company policies.
- Coordinate with the Facilities and Metrology to ensure all equipment and rooms are maintained according to established standards and schedules.
- Ensure all functions and related documentation are completed accurately and in a timely fashion to meet production targets and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in the development and revision of MBRs SOPs and change control forms for the department.
- Ensures facility is suitable for the intended operations and related major system are validated as applicable.
- Work closely with the Senior Management to develop departmental initiatives and strategies to increase efficiencies.
- Report deviations and assist in investigations (propose solutions and resolve problems) concerning production issues.
- Assist in the IQ/OQ/PQ of production equipment.
- Write technical documentation, including protocols, reports and operating procedures.
- Ensure timesheets for all employees are submitted in a timely manner.
- Participate in the recruitment of new staff members.
- Other tasks as assigned by the ARA Senior Management.
- Due to the nature of business, must be flexible to work various shifts and weekends as required, sometimes on short notice.

**To be successful in this position you will have the following**:

- Bachelor degree in a science discipline, with a minimum of 3 years of related Canadian industrial and professional experience or a MSc/PhD with 1 year related experience.
- Experience in GMP production floor environment
- Knowledge of GMPs/cGMPs as demonstrated by the ability to create/revise procedures/systems for their area of responsibility
- Working knowledge/experience of rotary evaporators/distillation, filtration, vacuum pumps/ovens
- Ability to safely handle compressed gasses and mechanical aptitude
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented with excellent decision making and problem solving capability
- Must contribute to and foster the development of a healthy cooperative environment
- Must be flexible and capable of carrying multiple projects simultaneously
- Must have the ability to work with mínimal supervision and to work well as part of a team.
