**NATURE AND SCOPE**

The incumbent reports to the Dispatcher.
- To assist in coordinating the loading and/or delivery of Brooklin product in an efficient and effective manner to meet customer requirements and maintain the required documentation

**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY**
**Safety**
- Comply with and enforce Brooklin Health and Safety policy and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment

**Job Duties**
- To comply with all current and forthcoming Brooklin policies and procedures.
- Comply with and enforce all relevant Codes, Acts and Regulations
- Assist in managing all customer orders that are “Released to Logistics”.
- Assist the Dispatcher in the delivery of customer orders by helping schedule our company fleet or for-hire carriers.
- Perform shipment confirmation of customer orders in Brooklin and customs documents as required.
- Follow up on customer orders and deliveries as required.
- Assist Logistics Manager, Finance or Dispatcher in producing reports that analyse the performance of the department.
- Assign delivery duties to drivers to meet customer requirements as required by the Dispatcher
- Collect all driver logs (Online or manual) and ensure Hours of Service regulations are met.
- Work on special projects
- Perform other duties as required

**Housekeeping**
- Ensure that the yard is a showcase for our customers and the trucks are kept clean and well maintained

**PRIMARY INTERACTIONS**

**Internal**:

- Logistics staff - coordination of delivery of product
- Production personnel - coordination of movement of product.
- Sales personnel - coordination of outgoing orders & assist department when needed

**External**:

- For Hire Carriers
- Various outside maintenance vendors for trucks and equipment

**EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE**:

- Minimum high school diploma

**Certifications that are assets**:

- AZ license, crane license, safety training

**COMPETENCIES AND ABILITIES**:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to achieve success and generate results both on their own as well as through teamwork
- Proactive thinker and self-starter
- Intermediate Computer skills including Windows, Word and Excel
- Experience with GPS Logistics software a must, Omnitrax an asset
- Think outside the box and promote continuous improvement
- Able to work collaboratively with others
- Demonstrate commitment, focus and drive
- Plan and organize work duties of self and others when required
