**Job Summary**

We are currently looking for a Distribution Planner to join the team. The Distribution Planning team works in collaboration with other departments to ensure that IPEX properly responds to the needs of our customers. The main responsibilities are to handle the replenishment of finished goods within the distribution network of IPEX in the most efficient manner while optimizing inventory and customer order fulfillment. Each planner has specific market segment and warehouse/consignment responsibilities that include analyzing needs and crafting inventory transfers, handling back order requests, resolving and responding to excess inventory. In addition, Deployment will work with Vendor Managed Inventory.

**Principal Responsibilities**
- Analyze, prepare and release transfer orders in a timely fashion for IPEX regional warehouses, taking into account stock availability and demand in the entire supply chain.
- Review and respond daily to customer back orders, managing costs vs timeliness.
- Execute VMI management through Datalliance if required, providing optimal inventory levels as per customer KPIs.
- Monitor inventory levels and routinely adjust as needed.
- Review inventory to identify excess and initiate corrective action.
- Recognize and escalate forecast anomalies
- Facilitate communication between Sales, Customer Service, Shipping and IPEX Management to resolve conflicting demands.
- Manage inventory integrity at consignment locations through corrective action - training, stock adjustments and annual inventory audits. Challenge ongoing issues and escalate reoccurring inconsistencies.
- Manage new business, product launches, and exit strategies at the item-warehouse level to improve customer service and minimize cost.
- Other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Community College/University degree/diploma, ideally in Supply Chain Management
- Completion of CAPIC certification or PMAC Certificate an asset
- Knowledge/expertise with Vendor Managed Inventory an asset
- One year experience working with a multi-level supply chain
- Two years’ experience utilizing an MRP system
- Strong Customer Service background and problem
- solving approach
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office Products
- Very strong analytical skills with outstanding aptitude for detail
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills
- Well-developed organization and prioritization skills
- Strong collaboration and customer service abilities; able to exceed internal and external customer expectations
- Positive demeanor
- Bilingual French/English is an asset
- Resourcefulness and flexibility to respond to market conditions and dynamics as the need arises
