**Overview**

The Pastry Cook is responsible for the execution of daily recipes to full-fill production orders and maintain a well stocked shop based on baking pars schedule. Ultimate responsibility for the preparation of our core recipes.

**Duties**
- Prepare a wide variety of doughnuts, glazes, and garnishes etc. following traditional and modern recipes
- Able to develop, design, and/or create new ideas and items for monthly feature flavours
- Ensure excellent quality throughout the offerings
- Follows proper handling and right temperature of all food products
- Checks the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met
- Assists in determining how food should be presented and creates decorative food displays
- Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and alert chef of shortages
- Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues to manager(s)
- Must possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with co-workers efficiently and effectively
- Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areas
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety standards
- Guide and motivate fellow cooks, bakers and staff to work more efficiently
- Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guide
- Made sure all product in the walk-in was organized and rotated, FIFO
- Maintained a clean and safe work station at all times
- Ability to work as a member of a team as well as independently
