Westpro requires a **STEEL PROCESSING OPERATOR** to join our team at our manufacturing plant in Puslinch, Ontario

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Operate the plasma table, horizontal band saw, Mag drill and iron worker.
- Capable of loading program to the plasma table and operate the table confidently
- Loading and unloading material from Plasma Table with overhead crane.
- Loading and unloading incoming steel of truck with forklift or overhead crane.
- Band saw cutting for all structural steel as per cut lists.
- Assist fitters when required.
- Clean up duties
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum of 2 to 4 years experience with steel process equipment.
- Crane operation and material handling experience required.
- Experience with carbon steel fabricating preferred.
- Must be able to understand basic blueprint drawing.
- Must have an understanding of materials and tooling requirements.
- Must have a production or manufacturing background.
- Must be focused on providing a quality product.
- Familiarity with machine setups is considered a definite asset.
- Ability to operate with pre-written programs and on
- console programming/ editing is a definite asset.
- Good working knowledge of HS practices including safe workplace conduct, safe material handling procedures, safe operation of machinery, personal protective equipment.
- Some heavy lifting required

**EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATES**:

- WHMIS Certification
- Forklift Certification
- Overhead Crane Training
- Clean Drivers Abstract
- Minimum Grade 12 completion

**OTHER**:

- Full time position.
- Hours: Monday - Friday from 7:00 am -3:30 pm
- Location: 33 Kerr Crescent, Puslinch, Ontario.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Extended Medical Benefits.
