Special Risk Insurance Managers Ltd. is currently seeking enthusiastic, driven individuals to join our multitalented Renewal Team as a Renewal Underwriter.

This position assists in the maintenance of policy renewals in collaboration with Underwriters and presents opportunities to grow within our company.

You must have the ability to work from home with the option for a hybrid work from home/ office model.

As a Renewal Underwriter you will:

- Work collaboratively within a dynamic team structure alongside other Renewal Underwriters, New Business Underwriters & Admin Assistants
- Manage renewal business by reviewing risks and negotiating with brokers, with the guidance and mentorship of underwriters
- Re-examine exposures at renewal and work with underwriters to problem solve challenges
- Use company rating strategy to retain existing business, and contribute to team goals
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assessing and quoting endorsement & cancellation requests with accuracy
- Provide communication to the Policy Production team
- Maintain account files and renewal records
- Contribute to the development and strength of relationships with retail brokers

- Strong independent work ethic
- Ability to work harmoniously in a team environment & collaborate with teammates
- Strong written language, and professional communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable to change
- Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
- Level 1 General Insurance license
- 1+ year(s) Insurance industry experience
