**Summary**

The HACCP/BRC Coordinator reports to the Food Safety and Audit Program Leader. The HACCP/BRC Coordinator leads the organization’s effort to develop its HACCP Plan and assist or develop, implement, and maintain the HACCP/BRC system. This position will be assisting with the external and internal audits to ensure that we are continuously striving to be audit ready.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Lead, coach and support the HACCP and food safety teams to ensure maintenance of the HACCP/BRC programs.
- Update SOPs and forms as necessary from HACCP system reassessments, program changes, new/modified products and equipment, etc.
- Ensure Food Safety and HACCP meetings are scheduled and carried out accordingly
- Ensure HACCP Plan is updated in a timely manner when required
- Maintain the HACCP/BRC and pre-requisite programs by auditing, monitoring, scheduling, verifying and validating results.
- Assist in annual and new employee training on CCP monitoring and other HACCP SOPs as required.
- Support Food Safety and Audit Program Leader in internal and external audits (BRC, audits requested by customers, CFIA, etc.)
- Follow up for the closure of the necessary corrective action items associated with any BRC, 3rd party, internal or CFIA audits
- Update of Sanitation and Maintenance Program documents to meet all documentation guidelines
- Create and maintain an efficient, hygienic and positive working environment.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Food Safety and Audit Program Leader.

**Required Experience**
- Completion of food science degree or related post-secondary education.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in quality assurance of food production manufacturing.
- Strong experience in developing and maintaining Quality Assurance programs, BRC, HACCP, FSMA and SOP’s.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
