Reporting to the Records & Transfer Coordinator, the Records and Transfer Analyst is an expert resource on Records and Transfer policies, procedures, and processes. This position is responsible for executing critical, highly sensitive, or high-risk student records and transfer processes. With deep understanding of records and transfer processes as well as the data structures and system set-up that support them, the Records Analyst serves as a go-to resource within their team as well as on project teams. Their expertise and system-wide perspective allow them to identify, advocate, and advance process improvement opportunities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Independently executes complex, critical, and highly sensitive or risky student records and transfer processes
- Requests and manipulates queries to support timely and accurate execution of tasks.
- Validates data and provides context to support the interpretation of business intelligence.
- Resolves escalated or complex scenarios in alignment with established policies and procedures.
- Develops extensive knowledge of student records and transfer processes, and their impacts on our systems and data structures.
- Continuously reviews and identifies opportunities to improve Records and Transfer processes and communications.
- Represents the Records and Transfer team on various projects
- Provides expert functional knowledge to ensure project alignment with the needs of the Records and Transfer team and the broader Student Progression portfolio.
- Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders as needed.
- Explains records and transfer policies, procedures, and business processes to NAIT staff, faculty, and student
- Updates knowledge base and provides training for complex processes.
- Collaborates with the Information Coordinator to develop and improve records-related communications
- Supports the Records team as needed to ensure operational obligations are met

**Skills & Abilities**:

- Extensive knowledge of Records and Transfer policies, procedures, and processes
- Thorough knowledge of the ways Records and Transfer processes impact stakeholders and the student experience
- Ability to identify and analyze data required to support business decisions
- Strong communication skills, able to articulate complex topics such as system requirements, policies, and procedures, to audiences of varying levels of experience and technical abilities.
- Critical thinking, in analysis of work processes and in operational decision making
- System thinking, able to understand and anticipate cross-impacts of records and transfer work on external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently with strong attention to details
- Ability to balance operational tasks with project-related obligations
- Basic understanding of Lean methodology and project management principles

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary diploma or degree.
- Related work experience in student records management or working with Campus Solutions is an asset
- 2+ years of experience in student records, transfer or recognition of prior learning in a post-secondary environment
- Project management training and/or experience, including Lean methodology, would be an asset
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

**Remuneration**:$2,270.10 - $3,038.95 bi-weekly, plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Classification - Process Analyst I).
- This position is covered by the AUPE (Alberta Union of Provincial Employees) Collective Agreement._
