**Job Title: Optical Dispenser/Student Optician**
**Overview**:
Join our collaborative and positive team at The Vision Gallery - North, where we work together to address the eye care and eyewear needs of our community. As an Optical Dispenser, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service and expertise in optical solutions.
**Duties**:
- Assist customers in selecting eyeglasses, frames, and lenses that best suit their needs and style preferences
- Utilize knowledge of optical products and services to provide recommendations and guidance to customers
- Conduct fittings, adjustments, and repairs of eyeglasses to ensure proper fit and comfort
- Process orders accurately and efficiently while maintaining detailed records of customer prescriptions
- Educate customers on proper eyewear care, lens options, and available enhancements
- Collaborate with the licensed opticians and optometrists to ensure seamless patient care and satisfaction
- Cross train to also answer phone calls, book appointments and assist as needed to pre-test patients
- Maintain a clean and organized dispensary area to showcase products effectively
**Assets**
- Experience in retail sales or customer service, preferably in an optical setting
- Knowledge of optical products, lens options, and frame styles
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to eye care is a plus
- Strong sales skills with a customer-centric approach
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with customers

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 per week
