**WAGE RANGE**: $27.29/hr - $34.11/hr ($49,667.80 - $62,080.20/annually)

Performs updates to the digital property database. Performs updates in a timely fashion in accordance with technical property mapping specifications and survey theory. Updates and improves the digital mapping database, including property ownership and assessment fabrics, survey plans, and zoning to support the corporate GIS services. Source information is collected from various sources, internal and external to the county, including Teranet, MPAC, the local registry office, and local surveyors. Respects technical specifications, and uses survey theory and judgement to acquire accuracy of data.

**PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Updates and improves the digital mapping database, including but not limited to property ownership and assessment fabrics, survey plans, and zoning to support the corporate GIS services. Source information is collected from various sources, internal and external to the county, including Teranet, MPAC, the local registry office, and local surveyors. Respects technical specifications, and uses survey theory and judgement to acquire accuracy of data.
- Ensures data is organized and documented using corporate standards.
- Uses ArcGIS (ESRI) software and customized programs to maintain and check data.
- Understands and respects data restriction, including legislation regarding confidentiality of data and data licensing provisions.
- Responsible for creation and maintenance of related Community Planning data and map products, including but not limited to Development Plans, Zoning and Official Plan, including necessary research.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Community college diploma in surveying, planning technician, GIS Application Specialist, CAD or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Good understanding of survey theory and computer drafting skills and an understanding of the property survey and registration process in Ontario.
- Proficiency with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) principles and excellent working knowledge of current ESRI software and Coordinate Geometry (COGO).
- Experience with title research and accessing survey plans through Teranet/OnLand is an asset.
- Ability to work within a team and with mínimal supervision.
