The Opportunity.

Our Vancouver office is currently looking for an IP Coordinator to join our Formalities team. In this role, you will work with the team responsible for reviewing and filing documentation with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO).

This role requires an excellent multi-tasker with strong administrative and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities.
- Reviewing and filing documents with CIPO
- Handling CIPO correspondence
- Handling sensitive client information
- Reviewing and/or drafting of documents such as affidavits and assignments
- Preparing invoices
- Interacting with clients, CIPO, agents, lawyers, and other team members
- Reviewing and interpreting client instructions, and taking appropriate action as required
- Other duties may be assigned or amended as required

Qualifications, competencies and experience.
- 2-4 years of administrative assistant experience in a legal or professional services environment. Previous experience in intellectual property would be an asset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to deal directly with clients and all levels of staff
- Excellent attention to detail, highly organized, ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and proactive
- Highly proficient in MS Office and ability to learn new software and technology quickly

The salary for this role will be positioned between $50,000 - $65,000 taking into consideration factors such as location, job-related knowledge, prior experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
