Associated Ambulance has been providing emergency medical services (EMS) to rural Alberta for more than 40 years and is currently the largest single EMS provider under contract to Alberta Health Services (AHS), providing EMS services in 23 communities across the province.

We are currently seeking 2 self-motivated, tech-savvy professionals to provide vital support within our scheduling department. Your technical and interpersonal communication skills enable you to assist our frontline Paramedics with their scheduling needs while also meeting the organization's operational requirements.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Work within the confines of 2 collective bargaining agreements and perform scheduling duties and staff coverage.
- Distributes shifts to both casual and full-time front-line staff.
- Inputs daily changes to the schedules, including but not limited to, absenteeism, tardiness, vacations, and shift swaps and shift giveaways.
- Track and report casual shift compliance and create monthly reporting for the Scheduling Supervisor/Manager
- Fill open shifts and process time off requests as directed or approved by the Scheduling Supervisor/Manager
- Modify schedules as required for leaves of absence (short-term/long-term disability, WCB, Parental leave, etc.) as approved by the Scheduling Supervisor/Manager
- Creates and maintains regular and vacation schedules according to the CBA.
- Provide geographical scheduling solutions for uncovered service areas to the Operations Duty Supervisor
- Answer incoming phone calls pertaining to scheduling.
- Develop Excel spreadsheets as requested/required by the Management Team.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams
- Working knowledge and/or related experience of EMS-type scheduling concepts
- Highly organized with a strong work ethic
- Energetic and collaborative
- Leadership qualities: Lead by example and encourage a team environment.
- Experience working in a unionized environment.
- Strong critical thinking, prioritization and decision-making skills based on operational requirements.
- Ability to work a 4 on 4 off schedule, 10-hour days.
