**The Role**:
We are currently looking for an Enterprise Risk Management Specialist to join our Audit & Risk department in Winnipeg. This role is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the corporate risk management program, policies, and framework. Reporting to the Director, Audit & Risk, this critical thinker will be able to work independently, while effectively collaborating with other key stakeholders to establish a valuable, cohesive, and relevant ERM program.

In joining our team as the ERM Specialist, you’ll be accountable for
- Develop, administer, and manage the company’s Enterprise Risk Management program
- Identify and evaluate the risk exposure throughout the organization
- Provide objective analysis of risk management and controls and participate in setting the risk appetite framework
- Develop suggestions and recommendations for process improvement and risk management strategies
- Collaborate with other departments and external auditors as required
- Keep current on emerging risks, trends, and developments in the industry
- Provide internal ERM services that support the strategic plan, business planning, performance management, and risk reporting, among others
- Prepare reports for the Audit Committee
- Participate in internal audit activities and engagements as required
- Special projects as assigned

**Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education in a related discipline (Business or Accounting Designation)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in controls, risk assessments and enterprise risk management programs
- Work independently and effectively, with a service-oriented approach for our customers
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail.
- Well-developed presentation ability, in addition to excellent skills in SharePoint, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong knowledge of governance, risk and control analysis and evaluation
- Internal or operational audit experience
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Professional accounting designation such as a CPA, and/or a Canadian risk management designation (CRM) designation is strongly preferred
