Your role

Please note:
The work schedule may include weekends, early mornings or late evenings in rotation with other colleagues.

What you bring:

- University degree or equivalent.
- Three years of directly related experience that includes proven ability in the field and knowledge of the media industry.
- Proven ability to find stories.
- Solid command of spoken and written French (language of work).
- Excellent understanding of spoken and written English, and ease speaking the language.
- Knowledge and understanding of CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices.
- Critical mind.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
- Proven ability to work in a high-stress, tight-deadline environment.
- Solid knowledge of British Columbia, Canadian and international news.
- Familiarity with issues affecting French-speaking minority communities, particularly in British Columbia.
- Availability to travel and work flexible hours, including on weekends.
- Valid Canadian driver’s licence.
- Ability to pick up new technology quickly.
