Banquet Prep Cook

**Paradise Banquet Hall**, one of Vaughan's most sought-after Hospitality and Event Centre, is looking for a professional to be part of our exciting culinary team.
We are looking for a **Full-Time Prep Cook **to join our team. The shifts are Thursday to Sundays from 9am start. **YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK DURING THESE DAYS.**
**Job Summary**
Prep Cook is responsible for:
- _Communicating with Head Chef prior to shift regarding daily menu needs, special functions, or events for the day_
- _Ensuring kitchen is ready before event start (i.e., sanitizes work area, stocks work area, prepares raw ingredients)_
- _Preparing food items to company standards while also accommodating guest's special requests_
- _Inspecting food orders to ensure proper plate presentation, portioning and recipe adherence prior to sending food out to guests_
**Qualifications**
- _High school diploma or equivalent_
- _1 year kitchen experience is necessary, preferably in a banquet hall environment _
- _Have a level of knife skills and be able to work safely in a kitchen environment_
- _Be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen area producing high quality products_
- _Detail orientated and a quick learner, follow direction from Head Chef and management_
- _Perform kitchen duties in accordance with food safety and cleanliness guidelines._
- _Passion for culinary excellence_
- _Excellent verbal and written communication skills_
