We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Lead (QA Lead) with a proficient knowledge of build integration, automation, telemetry, performance and QA tools to join our team and contribute to the success of our Quality Assurance department at The Coalition.

The QA Lead works with the QA Manager and Producers to ensure testing coverage and support needs are being met. They will coordinate with the QA Manager and other QA Leads to request additional resources and assistance as needed (staffing, equipment requests, etc.) and help refine team processes. They are the point of contact for the studio production and leadership on titles testing health and quality in their area. They will work closely with Development Support and Core QA Test Coordinators to create and manage the organization and delivery of testing schedules and focus. They will attend lead level meetings to help identify risks, provide estimates on testing capacity and coverage, raise concerns and listen to feedback. They are the face of QA at a project/title level and help provide confidence in the level of coverage on a title. They will help coach and mentor our Development Support and Test Coordinators and shouldn't be afraid to hop into the title to assist with testing as required.

**Responsibilities**:
In this role you will be responsible for organizing & directing a Development Support team focused on:

- Build integrations.
- Editor testing and support.
- QA tools, automation development & support
- Triage open feature requests & issues in collaboration with production partners
- Give qualitative feedback on proposed designs to ensure quality bars are met
- Collaborate with respective parties to implement necessary QA tools and automation solutions
- Work with the Data & Insights team to support telemetry testing and validation. Work with the team to scope and deliver requirements for QA Dashboarding needs.
- Understand and communicate performance and memory targets & testing.
- Translate design & technical briefs into test plans.
- Working with Quality Engineers to help identify and implement automation needs.
- Plan and execute performance tests on multiple PC configurations and share the performance results with respective partners.
- Plan, coordinate, manage, and execute multiplayer tests. Knowledge of multiplayer games and their online/network architecture is required.
- QA lab management including equipment, organization & station upkeep.

**Qualifications**:
**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) software industry or internship experience
- OR equivalent experience or capabilities.
- Experienced in modifying PC configurations according to test requirements and conducting performance and memory tests for each configuration for at least **one AAA title**:

- Experience on 1+ AAA multiplayer game’s development cycle from pre-production to post launch
- 1+ years of experience leading a team for technical tests.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with leadership and coordinating teams through difficult situations.
- Adaptable teaching skills (teaching to lots of different types of learners including leadership teams)
- Thorough documentation and organization skills.
- Ability to translate design & feature briefs into nuanced and robust test cases, or review & provide feedback on the test cases of others.
- Confident communication skills, comfortable interfacing with QA and Production teams.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of personal computers, operating systems, with the confidence to comfortably swap hardware if required.
- Experience in estimating test efforts and writing elaborative test plans.
- Experience with Unreal Engine is good to have.
- Experience in scripting, especially in python is preferable.
- Experience in working with IT teams for embedding tools/new systems in work is a plus.
- Knowledge of automation systems an asset.
- Experience hiring and building a team.
- Proactive planning, critical thinking and problem-solving skillset.
- Data driven approach in decision making.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and develop/refine skills.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence and SharePoint.
