Bartender

We are seeking **enthusiastic and reliable Bartenders**. This position is **part-time, **with the potential to move into a full-time position based on performance**.**

**Bartenders **are essential in supporting the restaurant's vision for consistent, high-quality products and service and ensuring that it is delivered professionally, safely, and efficiently.

Knowledge of **classic cocktails**, **wine** and **food pairings** isan **asset**.

**RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES**
- Providing gracious, efficient, and engaging customer service to all guests
- Making drink orders to restaurant specifications and food-safety protocols
- Working independently to prepare the bar area for service
- Taking inventory of products sold, used and spilled daily.
- Proficiently using a POS system to relay orders to the kitchen.
- Memorizing all menu items and being able to describe them to guests, taking into consideration allergies and dietary restrictions
- Delivering food and beverages to the guest, ensuring they have all condiments and cutlery needed
- Taking feedback from diners and effectively communicating it with management promptly
- Curating an enjoyable and memorable dining experience for guests
- Handling cash, gift card, debit and credit card payments and completing nightly cash-out
- Following all food handling procedures and always maintaining health and safety standards.
- Adheres to all restaurant standards as it pertains to cleaning and sanitation, handling glassware, silverware, china, and clean linen
- Working in a team to complete necessary side duties
- Adheres to the restaurant’s uniform, including hygiene and grooming standards
- Responsible for the proper use and maintenance of company-issued equipment and utensils to prevent damage and loss

**SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**
- Two years minimum of bartending experience in a fast-paced restaurant.
- Smart Serve Certification before or on the date of hire.
- Exceptional verbal communication skills with a customer-oriented approach.
- Skilled at working within a team to provide consistent service to guests.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Paying great attention to detail, cleanliness, and ability to follow health and safety protocols.
- Wine and cocktail knowledge is an asset.
- Cocktail development experience is an asset.

**Salary**: $15.50 per hour
