**HIRING SALARY RANGE**:$107,156.00 - $120,551.00 per annum

**MAXIMUM OF SALARY RANGE**:$133,945.00 per annum

**AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY**:
Reporting to the Manager, Project Management Office, Project Managers are responsible for overseeing the City’s most complex IT projects through the full lifecycle; from inception to development and deployment. The Project Manager is responsible for overall project planning as well as direction of project resources including IT staff, business departmental staff and external contractors/vendors.

**Project Management.** Collaborates with business leaders from across the City in the identification of IT solutions for business challenges. Leads and/or participates in the development of business cases. Leads the development of project charters, plans, budgets, resourcing strategy and KPIs - overall project plan. Develops engagement and communications plans as needed. Leads the development of SLAs (in collaboration with IT and Business). Tracks project progress, risks and issues and takes action as needed. Develops and provides status reports. Leads client working sessions (focus on solutioning, requirements, deployment, etc.). Approves expenditures.

**People Leadership.** Ensures that project teams are trained and educated on the City of Brampton’s project management methodologies and tools and that policies and procedures are adhered to. Provides coaching and mentoring to project staff including technical advice. Provides reviews of work products and deliverables. Provides input into formal performance evaluation of staff.

**Stakeholder Relationship Management.** Works with business representatives to assist in identifying business challenges and developing solutions and a suitable project plan. Resolves project specific issues and challenges. Partners with IT and business leaders to coordinate project execution including deployment schedules to manage conflicts.

**EDUCATION**:

- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Business Administration, Communications or equivalent

**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE**:

- 5+ years minimum experience in a system development and integration environment, with project management experience leading mid to large scale projects
- Required to work variable hours as required and rotational call-in duties in a 24x7 environment.

**OTHER SKILLS AND ASSETS**:

- Experience in Public Transit and/or Transportation projects an asset
