**NEW POSITION: Mobile Mental Health & Addictions Clinic Team Lead**

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer the Mobile Mental Health & Addictions Clinic Team Lead is responsible for the development, launch, coordination and supervision of the Mobile Mental Health and Addictions Clinic (MMHC) within rural and remote regions within the Kenora District. The MMHAC Team Lead will ensure that the following objectives are achieved through the clinic: improving access to mental health and addiction services for unserved and underserved areas; improving health outcomes by removing barriers to access, including geography, transportation, and stigma; reducing healthcare costs by encouraging and easing intervention early and mitigating the need for higher intensity support later on; and reducing health disparities by ensuring access to services that are culturally and developmentally appropriate and available where and when clients need them. The MMHAC Team Lead will supervise the provision of a multi-disciplinary team with support from external partners and resources. The MMHAC Team Lead will develop and formalize relationships with external providers by establishing formal and informal agreements to establish and maintain clear roles in a collaborative service delivery model in multiple sites which will also include a landing space location identified for the MMHAC. The MMHAC Team Lead will ensure that high standards of quality client care and professional conduct is maintained, and that services provided are evidence-based, best practice approaches in partnership with traditional approaches as identified by the community and area. The MMHAC will ensure that program development, maintenance and evaluation, management and supervision of human resources, program and organizational quality improvement, risk management, monitoring staff scheduling, and required data collection are completed for the program.

**Qualifications**:
BSW, MSW or registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the delivery of community mental health or addictions supports to clients
Knowledge of evidence-based service delivery models, treatment modalities and established standards of codes of practice for provision of community mental health support and services
Knowledge of community mental health and addictions population
Knowledge of harm reduction
Applied knowledge of community resources and agencies
Networking skills and outreach skills
Ability to assess dynamic risk
Highly developed communication skills
Knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing interventions
Assessment, case management, advocacy, supportive counselling, and documentation skills
Personal qualities of empathy, understanding, and patience
Good interpersonal communication and relationship building skills
Ability to communicate professionally with community agencies
Cultural competence for diverse populations
Understanding and applied knowledge of the Recovery Model
Understanding of trauma informed practice and implementation
Good documentation skills
Ability to learn and understand online scheduling
Proficient computer skills
Demonstrated understanding of personal space and ability to role model healthy boundaries
Ability to manage conflict and crisis situations
Leadership and supervisory experience in a multi-disciplinary setting
Demonstrated time management skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Creative problem solving
Knowledge of privacy legislation as it applies to community mental health and addictions environment
First aid & CPR/AED, Mental health first aid, and NVCI or willing to obtain

**Duties**:

- Adherence to all policies and procedures of Canadian Mental Health Association, Kenora Branch
- Collaborate and develop formal and informal agreements to establish and maintain clear roles in acollaborative service delivery model in multiple sites which will also include a landing space locationidentified for the MMHC
- Work collaboratively with community partners to reduce barriers and develop collaborative approachesto ensure that a range of mental health and addiction services is accessible to persons who werepreviously unserved or underserved
- Oversee day-to-day coordination and management of the program including program development,implementation, maintenance, and evaluation, using measurable outcomes
- Monitor and ensure staff compliance with agency and program policies, procedures, processes andstandards
- Ensure completion of clinical assessment tools (VI-SPDAT, OCAN Assessment, IntegratedAssessment Record etc.) within the Mobile Mental Health & Addictions Clinic as identified within thefunding agreement as well as internally by the organization
