Description

Kenvue is currently recruiting for Operator Technician III on weekend shift (Saturday & Sunday 6:00AM-6:00PM and two 8-hour shifts during the week). This position reports into the Packaging Supervisor and is based in Guelph, ON.

**What will you do****:
The Operator Technician III is responsible for:

- Working independently under the general supervision of the Packaging Supervisor and performs all the functions related to the operation on the packaging lines.
- Performs equipment changeovers and setups, equipment troubleshooting, and participates in the daily operation of the lines and material handling.
- Acts as a line leader.
- Performs detection device checks and escalates equipment breakdowns after troubleshooting to the supervisor and maintenance as applicable.
- Performs all activities in compliance with company safety and hygiene requirements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Complies with company policies and exercises the highest level of integrity in the tasks that are performed.
- **Key Responsibilities**:

- Adhere to strict compliance with procedures applicable to my role.
- Maintains equipment and tools in a clean, safe operating condition.
- Understands and adheres to the daily and weekly schedule.
- Functions in compliance with all GMPs, safety requirements and applicable standard operating procedures.
- Timely change over and set up on specified lines. Timely equipment troubleshooting and escalation of issues from the lines as required.
- Ability to perform line clearances and authorization to package as required.
- In a timely and prompt manner, identify, report, and seek correction for deviations noted in my workplace.
- Embrace a behavior of employee involvement and commitment to doing the job right the first time
- Perform and report appropriate levels of cleanliness and housekeeping standards as outlined, consistent with the requirements for Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Ability to complete shift report; Communicate with packaging employees both within across shifts (Line issue, escalation of issues, clear and concise handover).
- Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment with limited supervision
- Ability to lead the team in the absence of the Supervisor
- The ability to Organize the shift at the start, allocating resources and employees to effectively meet the schedule.
- Ability to effectively communicate and leading the shift handover
- Identifies opportunities for improvement.
- Exhibits a mature and cooperative attitude to promote an atmosphere of sensitivity and good communication and teamwork within the department.

**Required Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or GED equivalency is required
- 6-8 years of Packaging Operator, Technical Packaging Operator, or Set-up Technician experience in a regulated environment is required
- Experience working in a Pharmaceutical/OTC and/or GMP environment is required
- Strong mechanical aptitude, technical skills and troubleshooting abilities are required
- Proven ability to Lead, collaborate and work effectively in a team environment with limited supervision
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and maneuvering of equipment as required

Desired Qualifications:

- Strong computer literacy, experience with SAP
- Occasionally will be required to work overtime to achieving packaging targets
