**About the role**:
Reporting to the Associate Program Manager, Patient Services and Operations, the Bilingual Caseworker is responsible for the coordination and delivery of services related to the patient support programs offered by Specialty Rx Solutions. The role involves liaising with patients, insurance companies, pharmacies, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to investigate and secure coverage for the prescribed medication.

**What you will be doing**:

- Maintain an expert level of knowledge of the Canadian reimbursement landscape and current trends
- Liaise with patients, insurers, and physicians regarding the documentation required to maximize reimbursement coverage, including the exploration of all public and private coverage as needed
- Complete and review insurance-related paperwork prior to submitting to insurers for processing
- Follow-up on, and advocate for patients with public and private payers until a decision is received and coverage is secured
- Complete financial means assessments with patients in accordance to Program offerings and ensure financial assistance renewals are done in a timely manner
- Ensure that reimbursement renewals are completed in a timely manner for all assigned patient files
- Coordinate directly with SRx pharmacies and clinics to ensure that patients have access to, and receive their treatment in a timely manner
- Work collaboratively with Program management and other team members to address any concerns, needs and escalations which may be interrupting the patient journey
- Contact patients to ensure adherence to the treatment plan and coordinate delivery of medication(s)
- Report all Adverse Events (AE) and Product Quality Complaints (PQCs) immediately or as soon as possible upon becoming aware of the event as per client requirements
- Maintain detailed case notes and ensure assigned patient files are accurate and up-to-date at all times within the CRM database
- Participate in and assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to processes, quality, training, etc.
- Maintain a high level of service standards when it comes to reimbursement navigation, telephone answer rates, Adverse Event reporting and other Key Performance Indicators as established by the Program.
- Act as a resource for Program stakeholders, which may include physicians, nurses, patients, clinics and the client
- Assist with data integrity/maintenance as required

**About you**:

- 1-2 years’ experience in customer service
- 1-2 years' experience in the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry
- Experience with public (provincial and federal) and private third party drug reimbursement plans in an asset
- Strong computer and software skills: Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, CRM database, VoIP telephony, web portals, teleconferences, web-based meetings
- Comfortable with working independently, making decisions using sound judgment, and meeting deadlines
- Comfortable with working in a paperless environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French
- Flexible to work longer hours, overtime (if required)
- Able to work flexible hours between 8:00am to 8:00pm
