**Reports To**: Director of Retail Product

**Team Description**:
***At iQmetrix, the Product team is comprised of Value Streams. The Retail Value Stream focuses on maximizing value in our core product suite, primarily used by authorized wireless retailers.

**Job Summary**:
The retail industry is constantly evolving and as a Product Owner in this environment, your primary responsibility is prioritizing development backlogs, to maximize product value for its users. As an essential member of the team, you will develop a product expertise, understand, and empathize with the problems users face. As a point person for your development team, you will influence with your higher understanding of product vision, and ultimately represent the voice of the customer.

As the link between the development team and stakeholders, you will be a primary communicator interacting with them regularly, making sure there's buy-in on all major decisions while providing clear instructions and deliverables for the developers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Working with the Technical Lead to solution and manage the technical details of a project
- Providing an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
- Communicating planned solutions to internal stakeholders
- Validating and prioritizing the roadmap for each project team
- Preparing project documentation and sprint reports for external stakeholder
- Regularly communicating with stakeholders to gather feedback on project iterations and building additional backlog items

**Qualifications**:

- 2-3 years in a similar type of role (Business Analyst, Product Owner, or Product Manager)
- Working in an Agile development environment and have a clear understanding of how to operate within that framework.
- Experience solutioning with a technical team.
- Basic understanding and being able to speak to API endpoints.
- Understanding and experience around roadmap planning.
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops is an asset.
- Experience in requirement gathering is an asset.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective leadership skills and ability to listen, communicate and motivate teams.

**30-Day Goal**:

- Familiar with your products

- Understanding of where the backlog is at
- Understanding of Product Vision and Goals

**60-Day Goal**:

- Communicating regularly with stakeholders
- Can prioritize backlog and breakdown work items with support

**90-Day Goal**:

- Can prioritize backlog and breakdown work items independently
- Point person between development team and stakeholders
