**About this opportunity**

The Project Manager, reporting to the Director, Project Management Office, is responsible for leading large, complex projects. Working with the project sponsor, you will lead the project team in a matrix reporting relationship. You will ensure due diligence in the formation of the project and ensure effective delivery of work packages throughout the project lifecycle. The Project Manager will actively and effectively manage risks, issues and invoke project governance for escalation as required. Effective communication both orally and in writing is key in this role.

**Take an inside look at what you’ll do each day**
- Ensure the project has proper governance by leveraging existing governance structures, or setting up new governance frameworks as appropriate;
- Monitor the progress of the project against the plan, manage issues and risks, and invoke the governance structure the steer the project as required;
- Ensure user adoption readiness, operational support readiness, etc. prior to go-live;
- Complete lessons learned and close the project once transition to operations successfully completes;
- Provide timely and accurate project status updates to the project team and other stakeholders, including schedule, cost, resource utilization, issues, risks, etc.;
- Complete required project documentation for each project phase and ensure the project deliverable meet CBI policies such information management, security, etc.;
- Actively seek improvements to mature project management and project portfolio management practices, including continuous improvements on the guiding frameworks, processes, templates and tools;
- Champion project management in the wider CBI community and provide training and awareness session formally and informally;
- Mentor and guide others in improving their project management knowledge and capabilities;
- Provide effective leadership on projects and build a project team culture that reflect CBI Health values and the PMO culture;
- Be an effective member of the PMO team and support other PMO team members to deliver on the PMO mandate and CBI strategies;
- Mentor junior PMO members;

**What you need to be successful**
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager. Demonstrated experience in delivering enterprise, transformational projects with multi-million project budget;
- PMP certification, PRINCE 2, or equivalent, considered an asset;
- Delivery focused, resourceful and strong analytical skills;
- Strong leadership skills, good political acuity and able to build collaborative relationships;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
