Landscape Gardener Leader

Seeking individuals who can provide exceptional service to our client's gardens and landscapes throughout the Ottawa/Orleans area

Prior experience preferred = $. Onsite training available for those with little experience.

Hourly pay from $18 to $22 hourly ($23 to $25 for crew leader/driver, experienced skilled landscapers). Pay will be based on position, work ethic, experience skill, and horticulture education.
- Monday to Friday 35-45 hours per week. Weekends off unless it rains most of the week.
- Basic day labourer: Meet up with garden Crew truck, assist in planting/maintaining gardens across Ottawa, other misc landscape work and get dropped back off at the end of the day.
- Basic day leader: MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE. Pick up work vehicle in Rockland, pick up crew in Orleans, log hours, train and guide crew, design/plant and maintain gardens across Ottawa, pick up and deliver materials, deal with clients and upsell services, drop crew off and work vehicle.
- Plant, maintain new & established gardens.
- Other misc landscape work.
- Become familiar with all properties, locations, and site special circumstances.

**Job Requirements**:

- Prior experience preferred. Onsite training available for those with little experience.
- Basic plant/weed knowledge and ID skills is preferred.
- Experience in operating various landscape equipment is preferred, training is available. (blowers, hedge trimmer, clippers, cultivators, trowel, wheelbarrow, ladder, etc).
- Possess superior attention to detail.
- Use good safety practice and follow all safety requirements in execution of tasks.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (work boots, gloves, ear plugs, safety glasses).
- Ability to work independently with little supervision and in a team environment.
- Must be physically capable of manual labour (Able to Lift +50lb).
- Fast-paced environment, a strong stamina is required.
- Able to work outside all day in various weather conditions.

**Salary**: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

- Trailer: 1 year (preferred)
- Garden Design: 1 year (preferred)
- Garden Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
- Garden Installation: 1 year (preferred)
- Bush/Hedge Trimming: 1 year (preferred)
- Foreman/Management: 1 year (preferred)
- Lawn Care: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class G Licence (preferred)
