Ethical Waste Services is committed to adhering environmental standards, regulations, and practices. Asbestos Abatement Workers perform asbestos removal services while protecting the health and safety of workers and clients. *Responsibilities* Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Removing and disposing of asbestos containing materials according to work procedures
- Working with hand and power tools to remove walls, ceilings, insulation or other structures
- Setting up asbestos containments and multi-stage decontamination facilities
- Completing all necessary paperwork and displaying on site
- Other duties as required by your supervisor
- Following WorkSafeBC health and safety protocols at all times *Requirements*
- Willing and able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment
- Willing and able to be clean shaven to ensure proper respirator fit
- Willing and able to work in a team environment
- Willing and able to work in varying temperatures
- Committed to following safe work practices
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently
- Dependability *Qualifications and Skills*
- Previous asbestos abatement experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of moderate and high risk asbestos abatement (preferred)
- Asbestos Worker Certificate (considered an asset)
- Valid BC Driver’s License (preferred but not required) *Schedule*
- Monday to Friday
- Occasional option to work Saturdays
- Full time, 8 hour shifts
- Overtime

**Salary**: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
