Kinetic OHS is seeking a full-time Hazmat Surveyor/Consultant (Entry Level or Experienced). This position is suited for individuals who are interested in starting and/or pursuing a career in the occupational health and safety field.

Prior experience is not required. We are also looking for applicants with experience to fill our other positions (OHS/Hygiene Specialist).

Our clients range from residential to industrial workplaces in British Columbia, but primarily in the Metro Vancouver area.

Starting wage will depend on experience. Wage will be reviewed after 3 month probation period.

**Position Description**:
The Hazmat Surveyor/Consultant will perform a wide range of duties as follows:

- Conduct air monitoring and inspections during asbestos and lead abatement projects
- Conduct and prepare site inspection reports
- Analyze asbestos air samples
- Conduct hazardous materials surveys and assessments
- Interpret findings and prepare technical reports
- Maintain air monitoring and sampling equipment
- Provide recommendations to meet WorkSafeBC regulations
- Provide project support for Kinetic OHS personnel
- Room for growth

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Must have a reliable vehicle
- Must be reliable & be detailed oriented
- Have good report writing, communication and time management skills
- Have good work attitude and willing to learn new skills
- Ability to remain focused on a task
- Ability to speak confidently with clients & contractors
- Ability to work independently and in group/team environments
- Ability to wear PPE such as a respirator, hard hat, eyewear, gloves, boots, etc.
- Be able to climb a ladder
- Be able to pass criminal record checks to obtain security clearance
- Be able to work occasionally on weekends and evenings (project dependent)
- Be able to work out of town on short notice
- Be familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel programs
- Good typing skills
