Sandy Shore Farms Ltd. has been both growing and distributing asparagus and other vegetables for over 60 years and are currently seeking an **Production Operations Manager** to join our amazing team.
**Position: Maintenance Technician**
**Department**: Plant Operations
**Job Purpose**
The Production Operations Manager oversees all production and operations of the processing plant, including managing and coordinating daily activities, ensuring policies and procedures are followed, support with onboarding new hires, and providing training and educational materials to employees. The Production Operations Manager will develop and follow processes that maximize safety, quality, and productivity. The Production Operations Manager will also support operations through clear and concise record keeping
**Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- Organizing and executing daily production requirements, meeting and communicating with the sales/buying teams daily to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Increase production, asset capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining quality standards
- Train and ensure all Food Safety Policy, GMP, and Personal Hygiene guidelines are being executed properly.
- Overseeing and organizing food safety team to ensure compliance, including facility audits and filing updated grower certificates.
- Work with Sales in developing budgets for cost of products and recoveries.
- Monitor processing lines and plant operations throughout the day
- Distribute and log daily job assignments and labour vs. productivity output.
- Manage employees and resources to achieve production output, product quality and on-time shipping standards.
- Monitor operations, implement strategies and provide a clear sense of direction; trigger corrective action as needed.
- Ensure logistics paperwork is completed, collected and records maintained to assure compliance and support the auditing process.
- Identify and track problems relating to the product, process, and quality systems.

**Education and Experience**
- Diploma in Business, Logistics, Procurement or related field
- Food Safety Management preferred
- 2-5 years in a Management role
- Experience Managing a Production Line required
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
