Bark Brigade was started with one simple goal: to help as many people as possible live the best life they can with their dogs. We are currently an in-home board and train and private training operation, with occasional day training and boarding clients.

The Role: Kennel Tech/Trainer’s Apprentice

This apprenticeship is your chance to build foundational skills in dog care and training while working alongside experienced trainers. You’ll start as a **Kennel Technician**, with responsibilities including:

- Cleaning and maintaining a safe, sanitary environment.
- Assisting with handling and caring for dogs during their training stays.

This position is intended to lead to a dog training position. Your ability to learn the skills required will dictate how fast this process can take place. We are a quickly growing training outfit, and we need more trainers soon, but we want someone to build from the ground up who is willing to learn our way.

**LEARN & GROW**

As you gain experience and complete training, your role will expand to include:

- Leading dogs on structured walks and exercise outings.
- Participating in training sessions.
- Providing stimulation to returning client dogs for boarding and daycare.
- The opportunity to pass our trainer's test and advance to a Junior Trainer position.

**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**

- Ability to work morning and evening shifts as needed.
- Able to commit to roughly 15-20 hours per week, 2-3 hour shifts primarily in the evenings (7 PM start time) with some mornings available (7 AM start time)
- Available shifts are as follows, we will need someone able to commit to the majority of them: Monday AM & PM, Tuesday PM, Thursday PM, Friday AM & PM, Saturday PM
- Must be very physically fit, able to be on your feet the majority of the day and do some heavy lifting.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
